I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to write about Paul Sika in one of my art classes (couldn’t squeeze him in, but I was able to use Yinka Shonibare, woot.), but I guess this’ll do. Very pop culture in his approach to photography, Sika produces high wattage, almost literally electrifying HDR photographs. Moving away from the more traditional photogrpahy that has cropped up all over Africa, Sika prefers bold colours and themes, focusing on more contemporary African scenes.
